“I’ve really enjoyed playing in the IMG. I met lots of new people as well as being able to play with friends that I met on BJGT. It was lots of fun.” Alfie
“As a family, I just want to thank Neil and Steve for this amazing opportunity for Alfie. Putting him on the world stage and giving him the opportunity to meet so many junior golfers from so many countries. He seems to perform well under pressure and has really blown Mark and I away with how he has performed the last few days. We were bringing him just for the experience but to finish top 20! So proud.
Without the BJGT he wouldn’t have had the experience of competitions he needed to be able to compete on such a big stage and to do so in such an ‘Alfie’ style, cool and calm for the most part. So thanks to everyone at BJGT.” Leanne
“What a great experience it was arriving at The IMG Academy World Junior Championships. It was great to meet up with my team mates at Torrey Pines before heading to Singing Hills with the Under 8 boys for our practice round. We had a great time and it set us up well for our first rounds.
The course was in great condition and challenging all the way. I feel like I played well but definitely left a few shots out there. I had a great week meeting players from all over the world and it was great to challenge myself again the best players out there. I loved the experience and can’t wait to try and qualify again next year.
Thank you to The British Junior golf tour for giving me the opportunity.” Evan
Thank you both for an amazing experience, Charlie has loved it. He has already said he wants to come back next year.
“It all began with a great qualifier with the BJGT and went on to an absolutely great experience at the IMG Academy World Champships. The stage was huge and I was honoured to be a part of it. The 3 days came with golfing highs, lows and everything in between. It really was one of the best things I have ever done”
“I sit here in the departure lounge in San Diego. A short note to Steve and Neil to thank you both very much for giving us the platform to take Rex to the US to play in the world finals. It was a truly incredible experience – one which I hope we can repeat in future years. I think you know we took a full crew – my parents, auntie and Lucy. It’s an odd thing traipsing half way around the world after a six year old, but it was fascinating on so many levels. You’ve done it so I won’t bore you. We are chuffed to bits with 9th, as is Rex. Most importantly Rex loved being on that stage and the experience. It was encouraging that he left a lot in the tank – e.g. nine three putts on the final round but still 5 over. That frustrated him at times but I think it’s spurred him on to do better – we’ll see. Anyway, great fun. You’ll see Rex and mum at Ives, Rex and grandpa at Belton and me and Rex at some point.” James
“What a great experience for the kids. Already practising to try qualify again next year.”
“Big thanks to the British Junior Golf Tour for providing the opportunity to compete in San Diego for the IMG Academy World Junior Championships! It was brilliant to play against other girls from all around the world, and to experience a totally different types of grass to what I am used to. I hope to compete here again and use the knowledge I have gained this year to improve my game.” Maisie
