Our first trip up to Liverpool and West Derby certainly lived up to expectations!
Huge thanks to Mark Feeney who couldn’t have been more helpful in bringing the BJGT to the region.
The region may have been new, with plenty of new faces, but the results followed a very similar pattern in that many divisions were decided by singe shots and very close finishes.

Junior Open Category

The Junior Open Gross Division was won by Aidan Rudge making the trip up from Collingtree Park in Northampton with a score of 83, a single stroke in front of Charles Watts who in turn was a single shot ahead of Charlie Ward and Sachin Kohli.
Charles Watts backed up his fine gross result with a win on countback in the Net Division from Finlay Oakford after matching 71’s, with Aidan Rudge adding a third place trophy to his cabinet.

11-12 Age Group

The 11-12 Division was, almost unsurprisingly, won by Ryan Gavin who is proving to be a very prolific winner with another superb level par round of 72, finishing well ahead of Ronnie Groves in second and Max Hollinghurst in third.

9-10 Age Group

Maxi Moore secured his first BJGT win, under pressure on his home track, after some fine results on his travels this season in the 9-10 Division, following a fine round of 44, George Crompton followed him home in second (47) and Seb Reynolds took third place just one shot behind Seb.

7-8 Age Group

Alfie Turner was in fine form to take top spot in the 7-8 Division with a brilliant round of 38, as Albie Walker took his first podium finish on the BJGT in second after a round of 44 with Lucas Skilbeck (46) in third.

6/Under Age Group

A small field in the 6&Under Division but no less exciting as another age group was settled by a single shot with Eli Manion taking the winners trophy from Johnny Hughes in second after rounds of 53 & 54 respectively with Oscar Rawlinson in third.
The BJGT moves south east for next Sunday’s event at Three Rivers Golf Club in Essex, as we look to bring the biggest and best Junior Tour in the UK to as many players as possible!
