Our first visit to The Leicestershire and what a fantastic club for juniors, our thanks go to Parrin and all the Junior Organisers for all their help in both bringing the Tour over, and on the day with starting and organisation.

11-12 Category
The morning starters had very much the worst of the conditions as horrible driving rain made it quite unpleasant during the morning.
The 11-12 Division was the first to head out, so for the front 9 they got quite wet but for the back 9 the wind had blown the rain away and it was Maddox Meers who coped best on his BJGT debut to produce a hugely impressive 78 to take the win by a single shot from Maxi Moore in second as he looks to move up the OOM table, while Ely van der Merwe took third 3-shots further back.
Junior Open Category
The Junior Open Boys Division saw two players take the top two positions in both categories, James Pett placed second in both gross and net as his 80, net 70, led for a long time in the clubhouse but was finally bettered by Maximus Maddocks from the final group as he signed for a gross 77 which resulted in a net 68 to take the winners trophies.
Ava Waplington produced the best round of the day to take the Girls Gross Division crown with a round of 74, this gave her a 4-shot winning margin over Arianna Virik in second, however, Arianna went one better in the Net category as her 78 gave her a total of 71 and a 1-shot victory over home player Karan Johal who needed a countback to get the better of Ava.
6 & Under Category
The 6&Under Division timed their start perfectly with the rain largely moved away, they played the front 9 in blustery but dry conditions.
Jake Smith took the honours today with a fine performance by posting a total of 46 and become another BJGT debut winner on the day, Jude Crowhurst edged second place via a countback, based on the last 6 holes, as he and Zachary Blayney signed for matching 52’s.
7-8 Category
Another incredibly close finish in the 7-8 Division but it was Oliver Smith who rose to the top to claim his first victory of the season with a fine round of 40 in the difficult conditions, Marcus Karin finished just one shot behind to take the runner-up trophy as the result all hinged on the final hole, Maybel Brooks continued her run of podium finishes as she claimed third place with her total of 44.
9-10 Category
A countback was required to decide first and second and then another to separate third and fourth in the 9-10 Boys Division, where just four shots separated the top eight players, Leo Lambert first got the better of Byron Clements at the head of the field as they both carded rounds of 41 but Leo got the decision over the last 3 holes to take the winners trophy, Isaac Wakefield then grabbed third place based on the better last 6 holes over Tanus Van Molendorf as they handed in matching cards of 43.
Georgia Groves certainly didn’t need a countback, with a dominant display in the girls division as her 45 gave her a 9-shot winning margin over Emily-May Clements and Eesha Patel who did however, as both had rounds of 54 but Emily-May got the decision over the last 3 holes.
