The team spirit out there was fantastic, the WhatApp Group was continually updated with stories and encouragement from everyone, which is what it's all about, but that was accompanied by some amazing golf.
There were obviously some highs and lows, as is to be expected in a major tournament like this, so we will focus on some of the highs, although there are probably too many of those to mention them all.
Sebastian Duffield finished second in the Boys 6 & Under Division, which means that for the second year running (after Jaxson Perry's brilliant performance last year in the 7-8 category), we have a runner-up at one of the most prestigious events in junior golf!
A brilliant final round of -1 almost caught the overnight leader, but while Seb finished just a single shot behind, he should be immensely proud - what a fantastic achievement!
Marcus Karim also produced some wonderful golf to finish T15, aged just 5 years old.
We’re still waiting to hear what Fraser Walters (Boys 7-8) had for breakfast on the final day, as he was -6 at the turn, having had 4 birdies and an eagle, with his final round total of -5 firing him up to 5th overall - superb play, Fraser!
There were also Top 10 finishes for Stella Walters and Jasmine Ren (Girls 6 & Under), Top 30 finishes for Leo Boniface (Boys 6 & Under), Fraser Mackenzie (Boys 7-8) and Hayden Sarfo (Boys 9-10), a Top 50 finish for Ambrose Eaves (Boys 9-10) and just outside the Top 50 for Sunny Wang (Girls 11-12).
Jack Lee, Teddy Hall and Olly Toyer also had solid finishes in their respective divisions, but the whole team should be feeling very pleased and proud of themselves.
