Quite simply stunning!

Beautiful surroundings, a wonderful and challenging course, and a very friendly club made for a perfect event, which we will certainly be looking to make a Major in 2022!

Our thanks go to Jack, Peter and the rest of the team (including the starters) at the club for all their help, we look forward to working with you again in the future.

13-14 Category

We must start with the Boys 13-14 Division, which saw one of the widest winning margins that we have seen on the BJGT, as Oliver Baker fired a brilliant 68 to leave his competitors trailing and fighting for second. It was Charlie Preston who grabbed the place by a single shot after his 82, as the remainder of the field was very close.

11-12 Category

Alexander Mills continued his superb form in the Boys 11-12, as he claimed top spot and maximum Order of Merit points in his climb up the table. His round of 80 was good enough to earn him a single stroke victory over Ellis Kerr, who is also having a very consistent season, but he needed a countback decision to get the better of Finley White who matched his 81, but lost out over the last 3 holes.

9-10 Category

The Boys 9-10 Division was again a very tight affair, which has been the trend this season, as Fraser Walters and Zahn Bopiah went head to head and went round in matching 47s for the 10 hole competition. It was Fraser who came out on top of the countback over the last 9 holes to add another win to his tally. Jenson Ringer came home in third, two shots behind the leading pair.

7-8 Category

Ruaan Vamadevan returned to winning ways in the Boys 7-8 Division with a 10-hole total of 45, which left Mihir Pasura in second after his round of 48, who in turn was just a single shot in front of Leo Boniface who took the final trophy place on 49. Maybel Brooks claimed the Girls’ winner’s trophy (and overall second place) with 47, while Stella Walters took runner-up after she carded 50.

6 & Under Category

The 6 & Under Division saw Brody MacIver also take another clear win during an incredible season for him. On this occasion he fired a round of 45 for the 10 holes, while Harry Edgington and Freddie Neal required a countback to decide second and third, as they both signed for rounds of 59, and it was Harry who got the decision based on a better final 6 holes.

Junior Open Category

The Junior Open Girls competition at Harleyford turned out to be a fantastic day for Annabel Peaford, who fired a brilliant 78 to take the Gross win, with a 6-shot cushion over Eleanor Lichtenhein, and second place overall. Annabel then landed the daily double with the Net Division title coming as a result of a total of 68, two shots ahead of Alicia Ibekwem whose 70 also took the girls to the top of the overall Net Results table.
The Boys Gross Division was headed by Theo Baker (72), who matched his brother’s result in the 13-14 Division to take an impressive win. He finished seven shots ahead of Alexander Oddy (79), with Peter Pan (82) returning to the BJGT for the first time in 2021 taking third place. The Boys Net Division, like the girls’, was topped by the Gross winner, as Theo also doubled up his daily winner’s tally with his round of Net 71 good enough to give him a 1-shot margin ahead of Luca Ibekwem, who matched his sister’s runner-up trophy, as Harleyford saw some fantastic family results.
The BJGT now moves North to familiar surroundings, as we return to Wharton Park on Friday. This summer period of events is really shaping the Order of Merit tables, as the Race to Foxhills hots up!
